Italy is famous for its fine food and for being the largest producer of fine wine in the world. The country is also famous for its elegance, music (notably Opera), culture, art and several monuments, which include the leaning tower of Pisa and the Roman Colosseum

The major crops and products of Italy include fruits, vegetables, grapes, potatoes, sugar beets, soybeans, grain, and olives.


·         What is grown in Italy?
The foods grown in Italy include olives used in making olive oil, tomatoes and grapes that are used in wine production. Rice is also produced in great quantities and used for rositto making, wheat for bread and cookie making, Salami and prosciutto.

Some of the crops that are grown in Italy are lemons, wheat, rice, apples and peaches. Climatic and morphological conditions have contributed a lot to the influence of agriculture in Italy. Wheat and maize are the major cereal crops grown in Italy
